Eastern Illinois men's tennis played the second of three matches for the week as they lost on Friday at Ball State on the heels of a dramatic win on Wednesday over Saint Louis.
EIU lost at Ball State 7-0 and wraps up weekend play on Sunday against UIC.
Ball State won the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles. The No. 2 doubles match was left unfinished with
Tyler Carlin and
Ludolph Wiggett locked in a 4-4 match with Ian Brady and Andrew Hayward.
In singles play
Alex Aldaz took his match at No. 3 singles to three sets against Mason Tran before falling 6-4, 4-6, 10-4.Â
Duarte Trocado moved up in the singles line-up to No. 4 singles with
Gui Cauvilla sliding in at No. 5 singles and
William Hays playing at No. 6 singles.Â
Cauvilla lost 6-2, 6-3 to Petar Petrovic. Hays lost 6-1, 6-4 to Broc Fletcher.
