Belmont won the opening point, taking doubles at No. 1 and No. 3 with the No. 2 doubles contest left unfinished.
In singles play EIU pushed three of the six singles matches to three sets before falling in all six contests.
Pieke Bouman lost at No. 1 singles to Charlie Robin falling 4-6, 7-6 (10-8), 6-2.
Alex Aldaz lost at No. 2 singles to Esunge Ndumbe falling 5-7, 6-2, 6-4.
Ludolph Wiggett pushed his No. 5 singles match to three sets, falling 3-6, 6-0, 10-4 to Morgan Woodson.
