Karlie McKenzie carried a no-hitter through six and third innings before Jordan Mackey broke up the no-hitter with a pop-up single in the infield that a severe wind carried away from the nearest EIU fielder.   Kate Satkoski followed with an RBI double to left field that tied the game at 1-1 at the time.

McKenzie finished out the game allowing just three hits and the one run as she improved to 7-3 on the season.  She had eight strike outs in the game.

She was matched by USI starter Kylie Witthaus (4-7) who allowed seven hits while striking out seven in the loss.
