Eastern Illinois women's tennis won its second Ohio Valley Conference match of the season as the Panthers picked up a 4-2 win over Lindenwood with the match moved indoors to the Danville Tennis Center due to weather.

The Panthers jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the match with a doubles point win.Â
Aleyla Wooten and
Charleigh Fay won 6-3 at No. 1 doubles to lock up the point after
Michelle Kostadinova and
Luisa Renovales Salazar won 6-1 at No. 2 doubles.

EIU would then win three of the five completed singles matches to lock up the win. Emma Pilipovic-Klajajic was leading at No. 6 singles 6-3, 2-4 when her match was left unfinished with Panthers collecting the overall win.

Luisa Renovales Salazar improved to 3-0 in OVC singles play at No. 5 singles with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Yana Gaskell.

Charleigh Fay also improved to 3-0 in OVC play winning in two sets at No. 3 singles. Fay beat Megan Caffin 6-1, 6-1.

EIU locked up the overall match with a three-set win by
Ornella Lomenzo at No. 2 singles. Lomenzo defeated Michelle Trochez 6-3, 2-6, 6-3.

Lindenwood won its two points in the match with wins at No. 1 singles and No. 4 singles.Â
