Eastern Illinois women's tennis wrapped up a busy week of competition on Sunday as the Panthers lost a tightly contested 4-3 match to Southeast Missouri.
Due to weather conditions the match was played at the Edwardsville YMCA.
SEMO jumped out to a 1-0 lead winning the doubles point. The Redhawks won at No. 2 and No.3 doubles with the Panthers taking the No.1 doubles match.Â

Charleigh Fay won 6-3 at No. 1 doubles.
EIU picked up its three points in singles play before dropping the overall match by one point.
Ornella Lomenzo continued her solid week at No. 2 singles winning her third straight match. Lomenzo won 6-3, 6-2 over Yontha Tatum.
Emma Pilipovic-Kljajic won at No. 6 singles with a 6-4, 6-1 decision over Claudia Casas.
Charleigh Fay collected the final EIU singles win with a three-set victory at No. 3 singles. Fay beat Juliette DeMunck 2-6, 6-2, 7-6.
EIU hosts SIUE next Saturday before playing in two weeks at the OVC Tournament in St. Louis.
