Johnson qualified in the triple jump as the freshman ranked 19th in the NCAA West Region with a qualifying mark of 15.79 meters (51'9.75").   Johnson won the Ohio Valley Conference Triple Jump with his season best effort.  He currently ranks fourth on the EIU Top 10 list in the event and enters the NCAA West Regional as the top ranked freshman in the event in the West Region and fourth best in the nation.   EIU's school record holder in the event is former US Olympian and American Record Holder John Craft (53'09" in 1969).  Johnson will be in action on Friday afternoon.

Lacy qualified in the 400-meter dash with a season best time of 46.12 set at Illinois Gary Wieneke Memorial.  He won the Ohio Valley Conference 400-meter title with a winning time of 47.02.  His qualifying time placed him 44th in the NCAA West Region and he will run in the opening round on Wednesday night.  The 400-meter dash time is the best in EIU school history breaking the record set by Jarrod Macklin in 2000 and Chad White in 1998.
