TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Eastern Illinois Track and Field team wrapped up their 2025 outdoor regular season with the conclusion of the Sycamore Open on Friday, May 9th at Gibson Track and Field Complex in Terre Haute, Ind.
Ethan Black and Isabella Marcum kicked off the day on the track for the Panthers, each finding the podium in the 5000m race. Black's season-best time of 15:10.79 slid him into the third-place spot in the men's division as Marcum recorded a personal record of 18:15.06 to place second in the women's division.
David Tuala also posted a strong 100m dash performance, logging a time of 10.94 in the prelims before crossing the finish line in 10.89 to place third in the finals.
Bradley Ahearns headlined the men's 1500m race, placing fourth with a season best time of 3:58.56 as
Kaitlyn Ward recorder her personal best in the women's division with a time of 4:54.
Isabella Arthur wrapped up the distance runners efforts, finishing in third place in the women's 3000m Steeplechase with a personal record time of 12:13.09
Theodore Paxton and
Brenda Torres found success in the 800m run and closed out the night, each finishing fourth as Paxton crossed the finish line in 1:58.33 as Torres recorded a time of 2:21.25.
