Eastern Illinois mounted a furious offensive attack in the final 30 minutes of action, but the Panthers were unable to find the back of the net falling 1-0 on Sunday afternoon at Akron.

EIU fell to 0-2 on the season while Akron moved to 1-0-1 on the year.

Akron scored the lone goal of the contest in the 14th minute as Luisa Fragnoli found the net from 19 yards out.
