EIU Women’s Swimming Adds Seven Newcomers

EIU adds seven swimmers to the women’s roster.

Head Coach Scott Teeters announced today the addition of seven swimmers to the Panthers' 2025-2026 roster. 

EIU welcomes Emma Crider, Dakkon Eilrich, Annemarie Johnson, Jenna Patridge, Sophia Buswell, Remington Bokos, and Maja Przybylska to the program.

Emma Crider (Birmingham, Al.) competed in swimming at JCIB/Shades Valley High School and is the first D1 athlete from her school and area. At the Southern Zone Senior Championship, Crider placed eighth in the 100 L Back with a time of 1:15.71. She competed in the SE AUB Christmas in Auburn and placed first in the 100 Y Back with a time of 1:02.68. This past summer at the 17th Annual Splashin' the Coast, she placed tenth in the 100 L Back and eleventh in the 200 L Back. In addition, she scored her personal best in the 50 Fly SCM with a time of 35.73. She competed in the ASHAA Championship, in which she placed eighth in the 100 Y Back with a time of 1:02.42. 

Dakkon Eilrich (Elgin, Ill.) attended Central High School and competed in swimming at Elgin Cyclones Swim Team. The National Honors Society student recently competed at the Illinois Senior Championship, in which she swam the 50 L Breast with a time of 36.30. This past summer, Eilrich placed first in the 50 Y Breast with a time of 32.30 in the ISI Summer ECST Regional. At the Illinois Swimming Winter Regionals, she competed in the 50 Y Breast, placing fourth with a time of 32.48. The events Dakkon frequently competes in are the 50 L Breast, 100 Y Breast, 50 Y Free, and 200 L Breast.

Annemarie Johnson (Georgetown, TX.) competed in swimming at Georgetown High School. She regularly competes in the 50 Y Fly, 50 Y Free, and 50 Y Back. In her latest competition at the ST SGA Gold Rush Meet, Johnson finished third in the 50 Y Fly with a time of 29.11. During that same meet, she finished first in the 50 Y Back with a time of 30.42. At the UIL District 23-5A Championship, Johnson placed first in the 100 Y Fly with a time of 1:02.37. She placed third in the 100 Y Fly with a time of 59.11 at the UIL Region VI-5A Championship. 

Jenna Patridge (Danville, CA.) competed in swimming and water polo at Monte Vista High School in Alamo, California. She is a frequent participant in the 50 L Free, 100 L Back, 100 Y Back, and 200 L Back. Patridge placed third in the 100 Y Back with a time of 57.82. Jenna holds multiple top ten finishes throughout her high school career, including one in the 100 Y Back at the CIF North Coast Championship. As a senior, she placed fourth in the 50 Y Back with a time of 27.23 at the AZ NEP Holiday Swim Festival. 

Sophia Buswell (Salem, OR) competed in multiple sports at South Salem High School. In addition to swimming, Buswell participated in cross country and track. During her high school career, she earned twelve varsity letters. Buswell helped lead her team to the Central Valley Conference District championship three years in a row. Buswell won the Salem Sports and Breakfast Club Female Swimmer of the year. As a junior and senior, she was the Salem-Keizer Beacon's leadership in sports award nominee. Buswell was the Statesman's Journal Girls swimmer of the year as a sophomore. The team captain and National Honor Society student holds the South Salem High School and Central Valley Conference district record in the 100 butterfly. At the OSAA 6A State Championship, she recorded her personal best in the 100 Y Fly with a time of 58.81.

Remingtyn Bokos (Oak Brook, Ill.) transferred from Indian River State College in Fort Pierce, Florida, where she has competed the past two seasons. Bokos placed third in the 200 Y Back with a time of 2:11.65 at the FL RATS Stanton C. Craigie Memorial. As a freshman, Bokos finished third at the NJCAA National Championships in the 1000 Y Free, 500 Y Free, 1650 Y Free, and 200 Y Back. Returning back to the NJCAA Championship as a sophomore, Bokos placed second in the 1000 Y Free, 500 Y Free, and 1650 Y Free, and fifth place in the 200 Y Back. Prior to her college career, Bokos competed at Hinsdale Central High School in Hinsdale, Illinois, where she was a four-year varsity swimmer. 

Maja Przybylska (Warsaw, Poland) transferred from Indian River State College in Fort Pierce, Florida. She has spent the last two years at Indian River State College competing in the 50, 100, and 200 Y Free. In that time, she helped lead her team to back-to-back NJCAA National Championships. This past spring at the NJCAA Championship, Przybylska recorded seasonal best and top three finishes in two separate events. These events include the 100 Y Free with a time of 54.13 and the 200 Y Free with a time of 1:58.98. As a freshman, Przybylska placed third in the 50 Y Free with a time of 24.01 at the NJCAA National Championship. Prior to her college career, she swam at CLVIII High School in Warsaw, Poland. 

You can see these newcomers in action on October 3rd at 3:30 p.m. as they face Valparaiso at Padovan Pool.
