Panthers set to compete in Kingsmill Intercollegiate

Eastern Illinois women's golf will wrap up its Spring Break golf action on Monday playing at the 54-hole Kingsmill Intercollegiate hosted by William & Mary. 
 
The event will be contested at the Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, Va., with competition on the River Course playing at 6,326 yards and a Par 71 layout. 
 
This will be EIU's third tournament of the spring after an eighth place team finish at the NKU Women's Spring Fling last weekend in Vero Beach, Fla.  In that event Sophia Miller closed with back-to-back rounds of 77 to finish in a tie for 16th, her second Top 20 finish this season for the Panthers.  Morgan Grant continued her solid spring play with an opening round of 79 to finish tied for 33rd.  Meera Upadhyay tied Miller for EIU's low round of the event with an opening round 77.
 
On the season Upadhyay holds the Panthers best season stroke average at 81.3 followed closely by Mya Mirocha at 81.4.
 
The field for the William & Mary Kingsmill Intercollegiate consists of host William & Mary, Eastern Illinois, Dartmouth, Holy Cross, LeMoyne, Long Island, Maryland Eastern Shore, Monmouth, Mount St. Mary's, Navy, North Carolina A&T, North Carolina Central, Radford, Sacred Heart and Towson.
