Eastern Illinois women's golf travels to Florida this weekend as the Panthers will open Spring Break playing at the Northern Kentucky Women's Spring Fling.

The 54-hole tournament will be played over three days (Friday-Sunday) with 18 holes each day at Sandridge Country Club in Vero Beach, Fla. The course will play at 5,571 yards and a Par 72.

This will be EIU's second tournament of the spring season after competing at the Samford Huntsville.org Intercollegiate the first week in March. In that event
Sophia Miller finished as EIU's top golfer in 42nd with a 54-hole score of 245.Â
Morgan Grant opened tournament play with back-to-back rounds of 78 before falling off on the final 18 holes to finish tied for 44th with a score of 247.

On the season Myra Mirocha and
Meera Upadhyay both lead the Panthers with a season stroke average of 81.1.

The field for the NKU Women's Spring Fling includes host Northern Kentucky, Eastern Illinois, Bucknell, Detroit Mercy, Duquesne, Holy Cross, Mercyhurst, Monmouth, Purdue Fort Wayne, Southern Indiana and St. John's.
