** During the month of July, EIUPanthers.com looks back at 14 events, moments and players that helped shape the 2025-26 academic year. **
 
Another record setting year for Eastern Illinois athletic teams claiming three Ohio Valley Conference titles while finishing second in the OVC Commissioner's Cup standings.
 
Along the way EIU individuals and teams set several school single game, single season and game records.   A total of 22 individuals posted a school record during the year while nine team single season records were set.
 
In the fall Alex Tetteh posted one of the highlights matching the school and Ohio Valley Conference record for goals in a match with four against Western Illinois.
 
The fall continued with record setting performances from Luke Watson and Meera Upadhyay in men's and women's golf.
 
During the winter months records were set in the pool and on the basketball court with five individuals posting school record times in the pool.
 
The spring wrapped up with success in track and field, softball and baseball.  Tyler Conklin set the school record for career wins for the baseball as one of the highlights.
