Three new head coaches hired during 2014-15 school year

Eastern Illinois welcomed three new head coaches to Panther Nation during the 2014-15 school year as they will take over their respective programs heading into next season.   Hired during the spring of 2015 as new EIU head coaches were Kiki Lara, Sam Wolinski and Jason Anderson. 
 
Lara was hired as the men's soccer coach taking over the program in March.  Lara was an assistant coach at Dayton for six seasons prior to being named the Panthers head coach.  In 2013 he was named the Mid-Atlantic Region Assistant Coach of the Year by NSCAA.  Lara becomes the ninth head coach in EIU men's soccer history.
 
Wolinski was hired as the volleyball coach taking over the program in March.  Wolinski served two years as an assistant coach at Mississippi State following 14 years as a head coach at NCAA Division III Rhodes College.  She was twice named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Coach of the Year.  Wolinski becomes the 11th head coach in EIU volleyball history.  
 
Anderson was hired as the baseball head coach taking over the program in late June.  A former Major League Baseball pitcher with New York Yankees, New York Mets and Cleveland Indians; Anderson was the Panthers pitching coach for three seasons before being named the head coach.   Anderson becomes the 13th head coach in EIU baseball history.
