KANSAS CITY – Former Eastern Illinois All-American wide receiver Micah Rucker was signed by the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday and placed on the team's practice squad roster.

This is the second NFL team that Rucker has landed on the practice squad with after signing as an un-drafted free agent with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Following the preseason with the Steelers in which he caught only one pass against the Carolina Panthers, Rucker was signed to the Steelers practice squad. He was released shortly after the regular-season started.

Rucker was a two-year starter for the Panthers hauling in 104 passes for 1,743 yards and 22 touchdowns. He was a first team All-Ohio Valley Conference selection in both 2006 and 2007 after transferring from the University of Minnesota.

The Chiefs are currently 0-3 on the season and will play this Sunday against the Denver Broncos.
