CHARLESTON, Ill. -- The undefeated Eastern Illinois women's rugby squad travels to Minneapolis/St. Paul this coming Saturday for a 11 am matchup versus Minnesota.  EIU is currently 4-0 on the season, following a last-second thriller at home last week over UW-Milwaukee.

PANTHERS BACK ON THE ROAD ...
... Eastern continues to take it's program-high and current 20-game winning streak into Saturday's contest at Minnesota.
... Last week, the Panthers won a nailbiter, downing the Panthers of UW-Milwaukee on a last-second penalty kick, 29-27.
... Since going DI in 2002, EIU has outscored the opposition an astounding 4,282 to 391, for an average final score of 58-5 over the past eight years.

SECOND MEETING ...
Saturday's game versus the Golden Gophers marks the second time the two squads have faced each other on the rugby field, with EIU holding a 1-0 lead following a 77-0 victory back in 2006.

UP NEXT FOR EIU ...
Next week the Panthers return home to begin the first of three consecutive home contests.  The Purple Panthers of Northern Iowa come to town on Oct. 10 for a 1 pm battle.  UNI actually won the only previous meeting, downing EIU back in 1998, 5-0.

GRAZIANO APPROACHING '100' ...
When the EIU Panthers tackle the Purple Panthers of Northern Iowa at home next Saturday (Oct. 10), it will mark head coach Frank Graziano's 100th game as skipper of the Eastern rugby squad. Now in his 11th season, he is currently 81-17 (82.7%) all-time.
