THE GAME
Eastern Illinois will the play the first of two games on the road to end the 2010 season when the Panthers travel to Nashville to face Tennessee State. This will serve as the Tigers homecoming game with a large crowd expected at LP Field. EIU ends the 2010 regular season on Nov. 13 at Illinois State in the Prairie State Rivalry Game.

EIU enters the contest with a 1-8 record, 1-6 in the OVC after the Panthers 28-10 win over Austin Peay on Saturday. The win ended a ten-game losing streak that started with a regular-season loss to Tennessee State last November. EIU is now 8th in the OVC standings with TSU the lone team yet to win an OVC contest this year.

TSU enters with a 3-5 overall record, 0-4 in the OVC. The Tigers had an open date last weekend following three straight OVC losses including a 21-10 setback versus Tennessee Tech on Oct. 23.

THE SERIES
This will mark the 14th meeting between Tennessee State and Eastern Illinois with the Panthers holding a slim 7-6 all-time series margin. TSU has won the last two meetings in the series including a 21-10 win over EIU last year on ESPNU. The Panthers have won three of their last five meetings at LP Field including a 38-35 win over the Tigers in 2007 on a game winning field goal by Tyler Wilke.
