GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- Eastern Illinois women's rugby fell 38-0 at Davenport on Saturday (Oct. 5), dropping the Panthers to 0-5 on the season.

The loss marks the first time that EIU has been shutout in a game during the current NCAA DI era (2002-present), as the Panthers last failed to score in a contest back in 2001, when Eastern fell, 5-0, at Kansas in overtime.

The host Davenport Panthers improved to 4-0 on the season with the home win as DU rode a 17-0 halftime advantage for the win.

Panthers will continue road action next week, traveling to Tennessee for a noon matchup on Sat., October 12.
