Michael McCormick picked up the win for the Panthers on the mound Wednesday against Millikin. McCormick went five innings on the bump and scattering just three hits.Â

Joseph Duncan went 1-for-3 at the plate with an RBI against Millikin. With the hit, Duncan has increased his current on-base streak to eight games. Â
• The Panthers will go with senior RHP
Brendon Allen on the mound against UT Martin in the opener on Friday. Redshirt-senior RHP
Matt Wivinis will get the ball for the Panthers in game two on Saturday. At this time the Panthers have not named a starter for the finale on Sunday.
• Following the UT Martin series and the non-conference game against Butler, the Panthers will continue their busy schedule as they travel to Indiana State on Tuesday (May 17) and wrap up their 2016 season with a three-game OVC series at home against SIU Edwardsville on May 19-21.
• Eastern Illinois is playing its 110th season of intercollegiate baseball. EIU has an all-time record of 1,726 wins and 1,513 losses.  Head Coach
Jason Anderson is in his 1st season as the Panthers skipper after being hired to take on the role in the summer of 2015. Anderson picked up the first win of his coaching career with a 10-8 victory over No. 12 Arkansas in 12 innings on March 5, 2016.
