EVANSVILLE, Ind.- Evansville handed Eastern Illinois men's soccer their second straight loss of the 2017 season. The Panthers fell to the Purple Aces 0-2 Sunday afternoon.
EIU holds a 2-2-4 record following the loss while Evansville improved to 5-2-0.
Both teams were active on the offensive side of the field today. The Panthers took seven shots total.

Kris Luke each had one shot on goal for EIU. Evansville took a total ten shots with three of them on goal. Adam Snow scored the Purple Aces first goal in the 17th minute of the match unassisted. Evansville's second score came in the 58th minute following a corner kick. Brian Hughes got the ball in the goal on a header off the header of Ian McGrath.
Goalkeeper
Mike Novotny played all 90 minutes in the net and tallied one save for the match. Novotny has a save percentage of .885 over the first eight games for the Panthers.
EIU will return home this week for a two match home stand. The Panthers will face Wright State at 2 p.m. on Tuesday Sept. 19. They will then open Summit League play against Omaha at Lakeside Field on Saturday Sept. 23 at 11 a.m.
