NOTES TO KNOW
• Eastern Illinois pushed No. 17 Jacksonville State last Saturday but fell short 28-20 against the Gamecocks as JSU intercepted one pass in the end zone and two others to end the first and second halves. EIU fell to 0-7 on the season, 0-3 in the OVC. UT Martin has won three straight to lead the OVC race at 4-2 overall, 3-0 in the league.

Dytarious Johnson was all over the field against Jacksonville State last Saturday as the junior linebacker finished with a team-high 12 tackles including two tackles for loss. He has eight tackles for loss this season and 31 for his career. He needs one more to move into a tie for ninth on the EIU career list with Mike Carlin and Kamu Grugier-Hill.

Corneliuss Page picked off a pass and recorded two pass break-ups against Jacksonville State. It was the second interception of the season for Page who is tied for the team lead with
JJ Ross. Page now has four career interceptions. He currently ranks 15th in the FCS and first in the OVC in passes defended with two interceptions and eight pass break-ups.

Isaiah Hill scored two touchdowns on Saturday against Jacksonville State as he hauled in a 25-yard touchdown pass and ran for a 10-yard score. He joined
Jaelin Benefield as the second EIU player this season with multiple touchdowns in the same game. Hill was granted his NCAA transfer waiver just prior to the start of OVC play.
THE SERIES
• Eastern Illinois and UT Martin will be meeting for the 25th time when the two schools face off on Saturday afternoon. The Panthers hold a 15-9 all-time series lead including a 24-21 win in overtime last season in Charleston. Under head coach Jason Simpson the Skyhawks have held the series advantage in the last 13 years winning eight of the 13 meetings including a 5-2 record in games played in Martin, Tennessee. EIU's last win on the road in the series was Nov. 14, 2015 when the Panthers won 23-21.
