A NEW COMPETITOR: Eastern Illinois (3-3) is looking to have a bounce back game against a 1-5 Lipscomb team. Eastern was riding a hot streak going into their game against Wisconsin, but struggled with the size of the Big 10 opponent. Lipscomb has had very little to boast about in the opening of the season; as they are riding a three-game losing streak. This will be the first time that these two teams have faced off in the history of the programs.
THE GAME PLAN: EIU had a tough outing against a much taller Badger team, however they never gave up on each other. The Panthers had many times when it seemed like it was over, but they stayed resilient and battled back time and time again. This Lipscomb team is not as experienced, only returning two seniors.
Abby Wahl is coming off of a career game where she scored 23 points and hauled in seven rebounds.
Taylor Steele remained the definition of consistency, scoring in double figures for the fifth time this season with 15 points. EIU will want to get the bench involved; because when Eastern's bench outscores the opponents bench, the Panthers win.
SCOUTING THE BISON: The Bison have had a rough start to their season, which could be due to the learning curve that comes with a young team and a new coach. Head coach Lauren Sumski enters her first year starting 1-5. This is the worst start to a season since Lipscomb started 1-6 in the 2012-13 season. Freshman Jalyn Holcomb is the Bison's leading scorer: averaging 13.8 points and 2.7 assists per-game. EIU will need to slow down the guards drives and deny the posts in order to come out with a victory.
UP NEXT: The Panthers will take on Omaha at Lantz Arena on Saturday, Dec. 7, at 1 p.m.
