GAME TWO: The Panthers are coming off of their season opener with a victory, starting them off strong at 1-0. Eastern will look to rely on the depth of the team for victories. This team's strength is their ability for everyone to have an impact. Every player on the team embraces their role and will continue to find success in games if they continue to do so. The Sycamores are 0-1 after a loss to the Jayhawks of Kansas. Indiana State may have lost, but do not take them as a weak opponent. The Sycamores have seven players who are 6' or taller on the team, and three players who scored in double digits against Kansas.

LAST TIME OUT: The Panthers are coming off of an impressive win against the Lindenwood Lions on Tuesday night. Eastern's offense looked phenomenal against the height and talent that Lindenwood brought to Lantz Arena. Abby Wahl played very well against the post players on Lindenwood, and stretched the floor out; going a perfect 3-3 from beyond the arc. Jordyn Hughes had a big day, scoring a career high 24 points. The Panthers will look to ride their momentum into Sunday's match up against the Sycamore

SCOUTING THE SYCAMORES: Eastern will face off against Indiana State Sunday at 2 p.m. The Sycamores are coming off a 12-point loss to the Kansas Jayhawks on Thursday night. Indiana State's Marie Hunter was the leading scorer for the Sycamores, netting 18 points. Indiana State played very well against a Kansas team that is pegged to finish last in the Big 12. EIU will need to continue to stretch the floor and play good interior defense to cut down a tall Sycamore team.

UP NEXT: The Panthers will take on Loyola-Chicago at Lantz Arena on Wednesday. Loyola-Chicago is currently 2-0, and coming off of a 78-76 victory against Vermont. Loyola's Abby O'Connor is the player that the Panthers will have to be prepared for, as she coming off of a 1st Team All- Missouri Valley Conference campaign as a sophomore.

BOLLANT COMPLETES COACHING STAFF:  Eastern Illinois head coach Matt Bollant has completed his coaching staff for the 2019-20 season with the addition of Damonique Miller to the staff.  Miller played for the Panthers last season as a graduate transfer from Memphis.  She replaces Alex Guyton who left earlier this fall to join the coaching staff at Purdue.
