The Panthers (3-3) are facing the Eastern Kentucky Colonels (3-3) for EIU's first road conference game. The Panthers come out of the holiday break after a 73-58 victory against SIUE. The Panthers dominated the Cougars in the previous game and will need to have similar production to win against the well-rounded Colonels squad. The Panthers will be back in action at Lantz Arena against Tennessee Tech on January 2.
WHO TO WATCH
Abby Wahl has been one of the best players in the conference all year. The junior post put up her fourth double-double of the season against SIUE, and shows no signs of stopping. Wahl is averaging 16.2 points per-game and 10.8 rebounds per-game. Wahl is 20th in the country in rebounding average and number one in the OVC. Wahl's remarkable season has made the Eastern Illinois Panthers one of the most dangerous passing teams in the conference. EIU leads the conference with 16.3 assists per-game. Wahl's inside presence allows for shooters to get open outside of the paint.
