MADISON, Ill. – Eastern Illinois men's golf completed its second tournament of the fall season as the Panthers finished 14th at the SIUE Derek Dolenc Invite played at the Gateway National Links.

Preston Smith finished as the Panthers top golfer at the 54-hole event carding a score of 221. Smith had the lowest round of the opening 18 holes for EIU shooting a one-over par 72 during the opening 18 holes on Monday morning. Smith closed with rounds of 76 and 73 to tie for 21st.

Keegan Gowin had the best round of the tournament for EIU shooting an even par 71 on Tuesday. Gowin was tied for 67th with a score of 233.

Ben Lanman was EIU's second place golfer with a score of 228.  Lanman had rounds of 75 in his first and third rounds as he was tied for 49th.Â

Pierce Allord played his first event of the fall shooting 230 to tie for 56th. His best round was on the final 18 holes shooting a 74.

Juan Pablo Ng rounded out the EIU golfers with a score of 245 to place 84th. Ng's best round was on the opening 18 holes with a score of 78.

UT Martin won the team title with Skyhawks golfer Garrett Chumley winning individual medalist honors.

EIU returns to action next weekend as the Panthers play at the UT Martin Grover Page Classic.
