NORMAL, Ill. – Eastern Illinois women's golf played 36 holes on Saturday as the Panthers competed in their final tournament of the regular season with a ninth place finish at the Illinois State Redbird Spring Invite played at the Weibring Golf Course.

Monique Peterson was Panthers top finisher shooting back-to-back rounds of 83 to finish 50th in the event.

Jaeden Workman was EIU's second place finisher as she played in just her third tournament this season. Workman was 54th with a 36-hole total of 169.

Katelind Winterland and
Isabel Spanburg both tied for 55th in the event with a 36-hole score of 176.

Haley Hoagland was EIU's final scored golfer carding a 36-hole Saturday total of 185 to place 56th

Cameron Krager competed as an individual in the tournament for EIU shooting 198 to finish 59th.

Illinois State and Drake tied for the team title with the host Redbirds winning the tiebreak. Ali Schrock of ISU was the individual medalist.

EIU will next compete at the Ohio Valley Conference Championships in Muscle Shoals, Ala., on April 17-19.Â
