Eastern Illinois men's golf is back in action on Monday as the Panthers will play at the 36-hole APSU F&M Bank Intercollegiate. The event which has been a two-day, 54-hole event in past years, has been shortened to just one day this season and will be played at the Par 72, 6,811 yard Clarksville Country Club in Clarksville, Tennessee.
The field will include host Austin Peay, Eastern Illinois, Arkansas Pine Bluff, Bellarmine, Eastern Kentucky, Morehead State and Tennessee State.
Keegan Gowin led the Panthers last week at the SIUE Derek Dolenc Invite shooting a 54-hole total of two-over par, 215. Gowin was one over in each of his opening two rounds before an even par round of 71 to close the tournament. For the season Gowin has a stroke average of 74.3.
Trey Oswald was the second best EIU golfer in the field shooting an opening round of even par 71 and finishing the tournament five over par at 218.
