Eastern Illinois men's golf returns to action for a second straight week as the Panthers head to the Drake / Zach Johnson Invitational on Monday and Tuesday.
 
The 54-hole event will be played at the Glen Oaks Country Club in West Des Moines, Iowa.  The layout will play at a Par 71 and 6,898 yards.
 
EIU is coming off a solid showing at its season opening tournament placing ninth at the UT Martin Grover Page Invite in Memphis.   The Panthers posted two school top ten scoring rounds as a team finishing the tournament one-over par as a team for 54-holes.
 
Freshman Luke Watson burst on to the scene with a top ten finish as he shot 207 to tie the school record for a 54-hole score.   He had rounds of two-under 69 and four-under 67 during the tournament.  
 
Ian Hollander also turned in a solid performance over two days posting a 54-hole score of two-under par.
 
The field includes teams from host Drake, Eastern Illinois, Houston Christian, Indian Hills CC, North Dakota, North Dakota State, Northern Iowa, South Dakota and Western Illinois.  Iowa will also have several individuals in the field but not compete as a team.
