Eastern Illinois looks to snap is longest losing skid of the season as the Panthers host UT Martin on Thursday night.  EIU has lost six straight with their last win a 70-63 home win over Little Rock on January 14.  The Panthers have lost three of those six games by four points including Saturday's home loss to Tennessee State which dropped EIU to 7-18 overall, 3-9 in the OVC.  UT Martin has lost two straight games as the Skyhawks have slipped into a three-way tie for third place in the OVC standings at 15-10 overall, 7-5 in the OVC.  Both UTM losses have been on the road with UT Martin just 3-9 on the road this season. 

DONALDSON DELIVERS FOR PANTHERS
Caleb Donaldson scored in double figures for the third straight game finishing with a season high 17 points on Saturday against Tennessee State.  A transfer guard that scored 1,051 points in three seasons at St. Cloud State, Donaldson has been consistent for EIU this season ranking third on the team in scoring at 8.7 points per game.  In the last three games Donaldson has averaged 33 minutes per game on the floor scoring 12.7 points per game with 3.7 assists.  In OVC play he is averaging 3.8 assists per game which ranks sixth in the league.  He is 12th in the league in field goal percentage at 48.8 percent.

HAFFNER WITH BACK-TO-BACK OVC AWARDS
Cameron Haffner won his second straight Ohio Valley Conference Freshman of the Week award on Monday after scoring in double figures in both the Panthers games last week.  Haffner has scored in double figures in four of his last five games and a total of six times this season.  In those five games he is averaging 12 points per game with 12 made 3-pointers.  Haffner currently ranks ninth in the OVC in 3-point field goal percentage at 40.6 percent.  He has now won OVC Freshman of the Week honors three times.
