Eastern Illinois football head coach Chris Wilkerson has announced several additions to the Panthers support staff and one elevation within the staff as EIU opened spring practice on Tuesday.
Tim Greene, who served last year as the Football Quality Control for Special Teams, will be moving into a graduate assistant role with the offense.
The Panthers will then have three new faces in football quality control positions. Austin Leake will serve in the Director of Player Personnel role. Jared Sutton will be a Quality Control with the Panthers offense while Ryan DeMarois will be a Quality Control with the EIU defense.
EIU will wrap up spring practice on April 22 with its annual Spring Game.
EIU is set to open the 2023 season on August 31 at Indiana State before a Sept. 9 game at Bowling Green. EIU's home opener will be against Illinois State in the Mid-America Classic on Sept. 16. That will be the first of five home games this fall for EIU. Additional home dates include McNeese on Sept. 23, UT Martin on Oct. 7 for Homecoming, Bryant on Oct. 21 and Tennessee State on Nov. 11. Season ticket renewals will begin later this spring.
