TOURNAMENT RESULTS - ROUND TWO
MUSCLE SHOALS, Ala. –
Lindsey Hastings had the best round of the day for the Eastern Illinois women's golf team as they completed round two of the 2023 Ohio Valley Conference Golf Championships. The 54-hole event is being contested at the RTJ Golf Trail Shoals – Fighting Joe Course.
Hastings had a round of 85 for EIU as she climbed to 27th in the tournament as EIU fell one spot into seventh place in the team standings.
Ava Boehm, who was named to the All-OVC Newcomer team on Sunday evening, continued to rank as the Panthers top golfer in the event. She shot a round of 87 to stand tied for 24th.
Katelind Winterland also shot a round of 87 on Monday as she is 28th in the event.
EIU's final two golfers in the championship are
Ashley Chen and
Isabel Spanburg. Chen is tied for 29th while Spanburg is 32nd.
Final round play will take place on Tuesday with Morehead State the current team leader extending their lead over Little Rock to seven strokes entering the final round. Ruth Toennessen from Morehead State is the individual leader.
