Eastern Illinois men's golf opens the season this week as the Panthers travel to play at the Iowa ANF Fall Classic in Riverside, Iowa.

The 54-hole event will consist of 36-holes on Tuesday followed by 18-holes on Wednesday at the 7,432 yard, par 72 Blue Top Ridge Course.

The tournament features 12 teams including host Iowa, Eastern Illinois, Drake, Green Day, Iowa State, North Alabama, North Dakota State, Northern Iowa, Southern Illinois, St. Thomas, Western Illinois and Wright State.Â

The Panthers return three golfers from last season's roster including
Keegan Gowin and
Trey Oswald who both played in the OVC Championships. Gowin finished tied for 22nd at the OVC Championship and was the Panthers top golfer last season with a stroke average of 77.

Oswald played in 15 rounds last year with a stroke average of 80.1. Â
Juan Pablo Hernandez also returns from last season having played nine rounds with a stroke average of 81.1.
