NOTES TO KNOW
• Eastern Illinois comes off its bye week looking to snap a five game losing streak as the Panthers enter the back half of the season at 1-6 overall, 0-3 in the Big South OVC.  EIU lost on the road at Tennessee State, 41-17, in the Panthers last game prior to the bye week.  UT Martin will also enter the game off a bye week as the Skyhawks have won three straight and moved into the FCS national rankings on Oct. 9 at 4-3 overall, 2-1 in the Big South OVC.

• Quenton Rogers caught his first collegiate pass on Oct. 5 against Southeast Missouri hauling in a 39-yard touchdown.  At Tennessee State the redshirt freshman made his first collegiate start finishing the game with five catches for 103 yards as he was named the Big South OVC Freshman of the Week. Rogers had a long reception in the game of 62 yards as he is averaging 23.7 yards per reception for the start of his career.

• Cooper Willman continues to be a clutch receiver for the Panthers as the senior hauled in eight receptions for 141 yards.  Willman leads the Panthers this season with 30 receptions for 400 yards and three touchdowns.  Coming into the season in 32 previous collegiate games over four seasons Willman had 34 receptions for 380 career yards.  Willman also serves as the Panthers punt returner and is averaging 13.3 yards per punt return this season.

• Quenton Rogers and Cooper Willman both finished with more than 100 yards receiving in the Oct. 12 game at Tennessee State marking the 22nd time in school history that two receivers had 100-yard receiving days in the same game.  The two combined for a total of 244 yards, the 15th highest total on that list.  The last time EIU had two receivers over 100 yards in the same game was last October against Southeast Missouri with DeAirous Smith and Justin Thomas.  EIU's school record for yards by two receivers over 100-yards in a game is 421 in 2013 against UT Martin (Adam Drake / Jeff LePak).

• Pierce Holley passed for 338 yards and one touchdown at Tennessee State marking the third straight game Holley has passed for 300 or more yards in a game.  It was his fifth career 300-yard game at EIU moving him into a tie for fifth all-time on the Panthers list with Anthony Buich.  Holley ranks sixth this season in the FCS with 1,684 passing yards.  He has 4,425 passing yards at EIU to rank eighth on the EIU all-time charts.  Jimmy Garoppolo was the last EIU quarterback with three or more 300-yard passing games, opening the 2013 season with nine straight 300-yard games.
