GAME 6
Eastern Illinois remains at home at Groniger Arena as the Panthers host IU Indy on Wednesday prior to the Thanksgiving Holiday.  EIU won its first game of the season last Saturday with a strong fourth quarter performance against Loyola Chicago ending with a 66-60 win over the Ramblers.  EIU improved to 1-4 on the season.  The game with IU Indy will be the second of three home non-conference games this semester with the Panthers set to host Indiana State next Friday, Dec. 6 at Groniger Arena.  IU Indy comes in having lost five straight games after an impressive season opening win over Evansville.  The Jaguars are 1-5 on the year.

DOUBLE-DOUBLE RECORD CHASE FOR McGLONE
Macy McGlone returned to double figure scoring earlier in the week in the Panthers second game against a Big Ten opponent finishing with 19 points at Minnesota.  On Saturday against Loyola Chicago she carried the Panthers to their first win of the season breaking the 20-point plateau for the third time this season with a season high 28 points.  It was the 21st time in her EIU career that McGlone has scored 20 or more points while pushing her season scoring average to 20.0 for the season.  McGlone also hauled in a season high 14 rebounds posting her third double-double of the year.  It was the 33rd career double-double for McGlone at EIU as she needs one more to tie the school record of 34 career double-doubles held by both Toni Collins and Sabina Oroszova.  McGlone has already joined those two former players and Rachel Galligan in the 1,000 point, 600 rebound, 100 block club for the Panthers.

JOHNSON IN THE STARTING LINE-UP
Lyric Johnson made 18 starts for the Panthers as a freshman in 2022-23 finishing the season with 3.6 points and 4.3 rebounds per game.  She suffered an injury in the summer following her freshman year and missed all of last season with a medical redshirt.  This season Johnson has worked her way back into the line-up with first coming off the bench for ten minutes in the opener at North Dakota to picking up her first start of the season on Saturday and playing 20 minutes in the win over Loyola Chicago.  In the Saturday home win, Johnson scored a season high seven points going 3-of-4 from the field and 1-of-1 from 3-point range.  Over the last four games Johnson has averaged just over 18 minutes per game scoring off the bench at both Illinois and Minnesota.
