Butler Benbow Spring Invite Results
Eastern Illinois women's golf opened its spring season with a 14th place finish at the Butler Benbow Spring Invite played at the East Lake Woodlands Country Club in Oldsmar, Fla.
Ashley Chen led the Panthers after the opening day shooting a round of 79 which was the lowest round of the tournament for EIU. Chen finished the 36-hole event tied for 70th with a total of 169.
Mya Mirocha was the Panthers top finisher in the event with a 36-hole total of 167 with a low round of 82 on Monday.
Katelind Winterland and
Meera Upadhyay both tied for 76th with 36-hole totals of 170. Upadhyay had her best round on Monday with an 84. Winterland closed on Tuesday with a round of 83, the lowest of the day for EIU.
Ava Boehm was EIU's final scored golfer in a tie for 89th with a 36-hole total of 176.
Olivia Quigley played as an individual in the tournament for EIU placing 94th with a total of 183.
Western Michigan won the team title with Leeyen Peralta of Quinnipiac the individual medalist.
