CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – The Eastern Illinois beach volleyball team (3-5, 0-2 OVC) opened up their OVC Weekend in Chattanooga on Saturday. Against stiff competition, the Panthers lost both of their matches.
UT Martin 5, Eastern Illinois 0
In their opening match of the weekend, the Panthers fell 0-5. EIU struggled to get anything going against the defending OVC champs as they dropped all five points in straight sets.

In Eastern's second match of the day they squared off with Chattanooga, with the Panthers also falling to the Mocs by a score of 0-5.
Masyn Navarro and
Natalie Mitchem picked up EIU's first and only set win of the day with a 21-18 victory in the No. 5 spot, but they ultimately lost 1-2.
