The Big Ten Network announced several start times for early season games on Thursday (May 30) including the kick time for Eastern Illinois at Illinois on Thursday, August 29 and the Panthers Sept. 14 game at Northwestern.
EIU's game time against Illinois has been set for an 8 p.m. (CT) kickoff at Memorial Stadium.
This marks the third time that the Panthers will face the Fighting Illini on the gridiron. Illinois won the previous two contests in 2006 and 2008.
EIU's game at Northwestern will be a 6:30 pm (CT) kickoff at Martin Stadium which will serve as the temporary home for the Wildcats for the next two seasons.
EIU is 0-2 against Northwestern with the last visit to Evanston in 2015.
Two other road game times were also recently released with the Panthers game at UT Martin (Oct. 26) set for a 2 p.m. start and the final game of the regular season on Nov. 23 at Tennessee Tech set for a 12 p.m. Noon start.
EIU will open the home portion of its 2024 season on Sept. 7 hosting Indiana State. Season ticket renewals and sales are now available online at

The Panthers went 8-3 last season and were ranked No. 24 in the final FCS Coaches poll.
