Ramsey Hunt joined some elite company in the long and storied history of Eastern Illinois track & field as he became just the 18
th Panther men's athlete to earn All-America honors at the Division I level.
Hunt was officially named a second team All-American following his performance at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships in Eugene, Oregon.
Hunt posted his best jump of 24'11.25 on his second of three jumps. The jump landed him in 10th place at the national meet which earned him the second team All-American nod.
He was the fifth EIU athlete all-time to qualify for the National Championships in the long jump and the first at the NCAA Division I level. Darrell Brown (1974) and Toni Ababio (1975) both won NCAA Division II National Championships in the long jump.
