EIU 2024-25 Indoor Track and Field Schedule  

Eastern Illinois Director of Track and Field James Gildon has announced the Panthers 2024-25 indoor track season schedule. Both the EIU men's and women's teams found postseason success a season ago during the OVC Indoor Championships in Birmingham Alabama. The men's team finished in second place while the women's team was able to grab fourth.  

The Panthers begin their season on Friday, December 6, as they travel north to Normal, IL to compete in the John Coughlan Invite. EIU is at home for only one meet during the indoor season, coming in their first match of the new year on Saturday, January 18 at Lantz Indoor Fieldhouse.  

Eastern Illinois will stay domestic, traveling to Champaign, IL on Friday, January 24 for the Illini Challenge before hopping back on the road the following day to compete in the Bob Teel Classic in Columbia, MO.  

Following the road trip, EIU will take the week off before getting back to work at the Blue Demon Alumni Classic in Chicago, IL on Saturday, February 8. Shortly after, the Panthers are on the road again during Valentines Day weekend, traveling to Terre Haute, IN for the Blue/White Classic on February 14, and back to Normal, IL for the Redbird Tune-up on February 15.  

The 2025 Ohio Valley Conference Championships are set to be held on February 25-26 at the Indiana Farm Bureau Fall Creek Pavilion in Indianapolis, Indiana. The venue is located at the Indiana State Fairgrounds and marks the first time this event has been held at this location.  

The Panthers indoor track season concludes after the NCAA Indoor National Championships on March 14, at Virginia Beach Sports Center in Virgina Beach, VA.
