Eastern Illinois men's golf returns to action this week for the Panthers third tournament of the 2024 fall season. EIU plays on Monday and Tuesday at the 54-hole Bubba Barnett Intercollegiate hosted by Arkansas State.
The tournament will be played at the RidgePointe Country Club with a 6,676 yard layout and playing at a Par 72.
The field includes host Arkansas State, Austin Peay, Eastern Illinois, Evansville, Jacksonville State, Lindenwood, Murray State, New Orleans, Nicholls, Oklahoma Christian, Southeastern Louisiana, Southern Indiana, Texas A&M-Commerce, Texas State and UT Martin.
Through two tournaments this fall
Trey Oswald has been the Panthers top golfer with a season stroke average of 74.6. Three additional golfers are just behind Oswald with
Cole Jaworski at 75.2,
Parker Boehne at 75.4 and
Jack Yewchuk at 75.4.
Yewchuk has the lowest round of the year with a 69 in the second round of the SIUE Derek Dolenc Invitational. Oswald and Jaworski have both tied for 56th at the opening two events to lead EIU at those tournaments.
