Eastern Illinois men's and women's cross country wrapped up the regular season portion of their 2025 schedule on Friday afternoon competing at the Bradley 'Pink' Classic in Peoria, Ill.

The EIU women placed 13th while the men finished 18th in fields that consisted of several regionally ranked teams in both races.

EIU returns to action on Friday, October 31 hosting this year's Ohio Valley Conference Championship at the Tom Woodall EIU Panther Trail.

Brenda Torres and
Michael Atkins continued to rank as the top EIU runners this year leading their teams on Friday.Â

Torres placed 24th with a 6K time of 21:13.19 which was a personal best shaving seven seconds off her previous personal record set at last year's NCAA Regional. It is the third fastest 6K time in school history.

Atkins placed 37th on the men's side in the 8K with a time of 24:47.81. He was followed by
Brad Ahrens in 92nd with a time of 25:35.79 giving the Panthers two Top 100 finishers on the men's side.

Bradley won the men's Red Race team title with Noah Jahnke of Green Bay the men's individual champion. The Braves also won the women's Red Race team title with Reagan Baesler of North Dakota State the individual champion.

Rylea Borgic and
Sophie Krueger both finished in the Top 80 for the EIU women. Borgic crossed in 21:46.04 placing 62nd with Krueger finishing 78th with a time of 21:59.20.

Bella Marcum (108th / 22:28.60) and
Avery Braker (143rd / 23:02.75) were the fourth and fifth EIU women's scored runners in the race.Â
Anna Bieber was EIU's sixth runner to cross (169th / 23:32.67) with
Chloe Proffitt (174th / 23:36.86) the seventh Panther finisher.

On the men's side
Aidan Gonzalez (110th / 25:46.21),
Jiberil Lesman (122nd / 25:56.87) and
Cale Smith (125th / 25:59.75) were the third through fifth EIU scored runners. The final two EIU scored runners in the top seven were
Tyler Dillon (135th / 26:06.68) and
Sebastian Meyer (171st / 26:54.69).

EIU did have several competitors in the early White Race with
Tony Pastore the top EIU men's finisher in 60th at 26:57.19 and
Julia Monson the top women's runner in 52nd with a time of 23:33.52.
