Eastern Illinois men's soccer played at home for the first time this regular season but could not slow down a hot Lindenwood team as the Lions posted a 3-0 win over EIU at Lakeside Field.
 
Shots in the match were equal at the end of the contest with 13 each with EIU finishing with four shots on goal.
 
Lindenwood finished with seven shots on goal finding the net three times.  Luca Bartoni scored what proved to be the match winner for Lindenwood in the 15th minute.  Bartoni then assisted on the two second half Lions scores.
 
Maxime Legai scored in the 57th minute with Jozef Palushaj scoring in the 62nd minute.   Gavin Roberts, a last minute sub in goal for Lindenwood, made four saves for the shutout.
 
Adam Boykin, Jackson Cote, Saneyuki Yamagata and Rafael Lara each had two shots for EIU in the match.  Boykin, Cote, Lara and Manuel Cordeiro had the shots on goal for the Panthers.
 
EIU falls to 1-5-2 on the season 0-1-1 in the OVC.  Lindenwood remained undefeated on the year improving to 9-0-1 overall, 2-0 in the OVC.
