GAME 3
Eastern Illinois travels just across the state line on Tuesday night as the Panthers play regional rival Indiana State. EIU battled Big Ten member Purdue during its last outing leading the Boilermakers after the opening quarter before falling 82-67 at Mackey Arena. EIU is now 0-2 on the season. This will be the second of eight straight road games for the Panthers in the early portion of the schedule. Indiana State will be playing just its second game of the year after a season opening three point loss to IU Indy.
STOLLER WITH A CAREER HIGH
Junior guard
Ava Stoller had been stuck on the number 13 through the Panthers two exhibition games and then in the season opener against Drake. The transfer from SIUE had scored 13 points in each of those three contests entering last Thursday's game at Purdue. Stoller blew right through that number finishing with a career high 25 points going 8-of-15 from the floor, 3-of-4 from 3-point range and 6-of-6 from the free throw line. Stoller's previous collegiate high was 19 points which she hit twice during a two-year career at SIUE. Her 19 points per game average currently ranks third in the league while she it tied for the conference lead in free throw percentage going 9-of-9 this year.
MASON IN DOUBLE FIGURES AGAIN

Meioshe Mason scored in double figures for the second straight game as the transfer from Middle Tennessee finished with ten points at Purdue. Mason made her first collegiate start against the Boilermakers going 4-of-7 from the field with three rebounds. Mason scored ten points in her regular season debut for the Panthers against Drake and is shooting 50 percent from the floor. A three-year member of the Blue Raiders program, Mason's previous career high was five points against Florida A&M.
FIRST QUARTER STARTS
For the second straight game Eastern Illinois led its opponent after the opening quarter of play as EIU led Purdue 20-19 after ten minutes of play. EIU shot 60 percent from the field in the opening quarter before cooling off and shooting 42.9 percent for the game. In the opener with Drake, EIU also led 20-19 after one quarter shooting 52.9 percent in that first ten minutes before finishing the game at 39.1 percent.
