Clara Glad scored 14 points and Tiny Lewis added 11 as the Panthers lost at Groniger Arena on Thursday night to UT Martin 62-46.

UTM raced out to a 15-4 lead in the first quarter before EIU closed that margin to 15-9 after ten minutes of play.

Glad was 5-of-9 from the field picking up three of EIU's seven steals in the game.  

Lewis, returning from a two-game injury, scored ten points.  

EIU trailed 27-22 at the half before UTM outscored the Panthers 21-11 in the third quarter to pull away in the game.

Brittani Wells scored 16 points to lead three UTM players in double figures as the Skyhawks improved to 11-8 overall, 7-3 overall.

Meioshe Mason had seven rebounds but had foul trouble most of the game as EIU fell to 3-19 overall, 2-9 in the OVC.

Kenley McCarn (15 pts) and Cam Ward (12 pts) rounded out the UT Martin scorers.
