Eastern Illinois fell behind early with a cold shooting first quarter and a quick start to the third quarter by UT Martin sent the Panthers to a home loss on Thursday night. EIU now stands at 3-19, 2-9 in the OVC as they continue the second half of the OVC season. The Panthers welcome Southeast Missouri on Saturday afternoon with the Redhawks coming off a road loss at Western Illinois. SEMO is 7-13 overall, 3-8 in the OVC. EIU and SEMO are bunched in a group of five teams in the bottom of the OVC standings with either two or three wins with two of the five eventually breaking through to secure a spot in the OVC Tournament in March in Evansville, Indiana.Â
GLAD BACK IN DOUBLE FIGURES
Clara Glad has been one of the Panthers top defensive stoppers this season with a team best 33 steals. She had three steals on Thursday against UT Martin for her eighth multiple steal game this season. Her season high was five in the home win over Tennessee Tech. On Thursday Glad also provided a portion of the Panthers offensive attack finishing with a team high 14 points. It was the second time this season Glad has led the team in scoring and her seventh double figure game this year. Her season high of 17 points came earlier this year at Southeast Missouri.
LEWIS RETURNS TO THE LINE-UPÂ

Tiny Lewis returned to the Panthers line-up on Thursday after missing a pair of games last weekend due to injury. Lewis picked up where she left off prior to the injury scoring ten points for her fourth double figure scoring game in the last five contests and sixth double figure game over the last eight games. Lewis knocked down one 3-pointer against UT Martin giving her at least one made 3-pointer in five straight games and now 85 made 3-pointers at EIU. Her season high came in the home win over Tennessee State with 20 points knocking down 3-of-5 from 3-point range. She has six games with multiple 3-pointers made this season. Â
DAVIS ACTIVE ON THE BOARDS RECENTLY

Kennedy Davis collected a career high seven rebounds last Saturday at Morehead State as she has been an active rebounder off the bench the last four contests for EIU. Davis pulled in five rebounds on Thursday against UT Martin and has 19 rebounds over the last four games. She added three points off the bench on Thursday scoring for the 11th time in 21 games this season which includes two starts. Davis season high for points is five which she had at Indiana State and against SIUE in the OVC opener. Â
