EIU Track & Field completed their final regular season meet before heading to the OVC Championships. Eastern Illinois made the short trip to the University of Illinois for the Last Chance Meet. The Panthers were highlighted by two second-place finishes by David Tuala and Mason Booker.
Men's Track:
Mason Booker placed 2nd in the 60m hurdles with a personal best of 8.53.
David Tuala placed 2nd in the 60m dash with a finals time of 7.02 seconds. Benjamin Jessup placed 6th in the 60m dash with a time of 7.63 seconds.
PJ Anderson, Ethan McBride, Dagen Geier, and Zac Stout went 5th-8th in the long jump. Anderson scored a 6.65m (21-10.00) mark, McBride scored a 6.41m (21-00.50) mark, Geir secured a season-best 6.31m (20-08.50) mark, and Stout earned a 6.08m (19-11.50) mark.
Kaden Salisbury, Sawyer Woodard, and Jevan Wampler went 7th-9th in the shot put. Salisbury scored a 15.22m (49-11.25) mark, Woodward scored a 14.45m (47-05.00) mark, and Wampler scored a 13.33m (43-08.75) mark.
Icone Logo placed 2nd in the triple jump with a score of 13.99m (45-10.75).
Women's Track:
Marco Reynolds, Emily Sykes, and Becca Robbins went 6th, 7th, and 8th in the weight throw. Reynolds scored 15.27m (50-01.25), Sykes scored a 14.25m (46-09.00), and Robbins scored a 13.28m (43-07.00) mark. Ashley Wrublik rounded out the top ten in the weight throw with a 12.08m (39-07.75) mark.
Wrublik placed 4th in the shot put with a score of 12.02m (39-05.25). Macey Miller placed 6th with a score of 11.40m (37-05.00).
Up Next: EIU will travel to Louisville, Kentucky, next week for the OVC Indoor Track Championships.
