• 2026 OVC Women's Golf Championship Information Page
The 2026 Ohio Valley Conference Women's Golf Championship will tee-off this weekend at the Dalton Golf and Country Club in Dalton, Georgia. The 54-hole women's championship will be held April 19-21.
It marks the first time the event has been held at the course.
Dalton Golf and Country Club offers a beautiful, tree-lined 18-hole course. The Championship course was redesigned by Golf Course Architect Bill Bergin in 2020, creating a challenging and rewarding round of golf. Overall, the golf course dating back to 1912, and has beautiful characteristics that have been maintained throughout the history of the club. The venue has hosted other conference championships and will host the 2027 and 2028 NAIA Women's Golf National Championship.
The women's golf championship will feature nine teams - Bryant, Eastern Illinois, Lindenwood, Little Rock, Morehead State, Southern Indiana, Tennessee State, Tennessee Tech and Western Illinois. The teams will have a practice round on Saturday and tee off on Sunday morning at 8:00 a.m. ET.
EIU's best team finish at the OVC Championships was second during the 2003 season. Carrie Riordan was the individual medalist at the 2009 OVC Championship.  This season EIU has been led by
Mya Mirocha and
Meera Upadhyay, both with a season stroke average of 82.0. Freshman
Addison Kenney was the Panthers top finisher this past week a the Indiana State Spring Invite with transfer
Sophia Miller EIU's top finisher in the other three spring tournaments.
This year's All-OVC and All-Newcomer Teams and Freshman of the Year will be announced prior to Saturday's practice round. The Player and Coach of the Year Awards as well as the All-Tournament and Tournament MVP awards will be presented at the conclusion of the championship.
This year's event will be a par of 72 with yardages running approximately 6,100 yards.
