Eastern Illinois women's golf opens the 2026-27 season on Monday, August 31, playing at the Youngstown State Roseann Schwartz Invitational.
 
The one-day tournament will be a 36-hole event played at the Par 70 – 5,901 yard Avalon at Buhl Park in Hermitage, Pa.
 
Teams scheduled to compete in the season opening event are host Youngstown State, Eastern Illinois, Akron, Bowling Green, Chicago State, Dayton, IU Indy, Le Moyne, Maryland Eastern Shore, Mercyhurst and Ohio State.
 
The Panthers return five golfers from last season with Meera Upadhyay the top returning performer from last season with a stroke average of 81.9. 
 
Mya Mirocha had the best finish of the season for EIU placing third at the Chicago State Windy City Classic.  Upadhyay was EIU's top finisher at the OVC Championships placing 15th.
 
The Panthers added three new faces to the roster this season with freshmen Isabelle Boudreau, Nunnaphat Sangsittiphan and Ella Schweighart.
