LEMONT, Ill. -- Eastern Illinois men's golf continued autumn action as senior
Kevin Flack led all Panthers with a 19th place finish at the annual DePaul Fall Invitational.
Flack ended the three-round play with an 229 stroke total to tie for 19th out of 80 competitors. He shot a pair of 80s in the first and last rounds, yet also had an eleven-stroke improvement of 69 in the middle round.
Classmate
Tommy Ponce followed in a 39th place tie, carding a 235 total, while sophomore
James Jansen tied for 50th with the addition of three strokes for a 238 finish.
Freshmen
Oscar Borda and
Austin Sproles rounded out the Panther contingent in 68th and 75th places, respectively.
Team-wise, Eastern combined for a 946 total to end up in 13th place out of 15 squads competing, as the Panthers finished ahead of rivals Western Illinois and Chicago State.
Marquette earned the team title with a 905 score, while Valparaiso's Kyle Henning captured individual medalist honors at the par 72, 6,898-yard, Ruffled Feathers Golf Club.
Panthers will complete the fall slate at the upcoming Chicago State Fall Invitational on Oct. 14-16 at the Harbor Side Golf Course.
