** During the month of July EIUpanthers.com will take a look back at 13 moments, events or performances that helped shape the 2015-16 school year. **

Haleigh Knapp excelled for the Panthers women's track and field teams this past year setting both school and conference records along the way.

Knapp helped the women's track and field team win the OVC Outdoor Track title after the Panthers finished second at the Indoor Championships.

Individually she won the high jump at both meets earning first team All-OVC honors.   At the indoor meet Knapp tied the conference record clearing 5'9.75".   During the indoor season she set the school record clearing 5'11.25" at the Indiana Relays, a mark that ranked 24th in the nation for the indoor season.

Knapp carried that momentum over to the outdoor season where she had six first place finishes during the season.  She won the OVC Outdoor Meet with a height of 6'0.50" which set both the school and conference record.  At the NCAA Regionals, Knapp ended in a three-way tie for 11th place and just missed a trip to the National Championships in a jump-off.
