EVANSVILLE, Ind. --  For the third straight meet in less than a week, the Eastern Illinois men's and women's swimming squads have split their respective dual meet, this time on the road at Evansville Wednesday evening, as the Panther men won, 157-129, and the EIU women lost, 232-64.

With the win, the Eastern men improve to a perfect 3-0 season start, while the female squad fall to 0-3 on the year.

Six different individual swimmers would end placing first for the men, including juniors Tyler Hsieh in the 200-Free (1:47.20), Rich Waszak in the 100-Back (53.49), and Matt O'Hagan in the 100-Breast (59.92).

Others winners were sophomores John Wilson in the 50-Free (21.94), Joe Ciliak in the 200-Breast (2:13.98), and Michael Lacine in the 200-IM (2:00.10)

Meanwhile, the foursome of Rich Waszak, Joe Ciliak, Cody Showers, and John Wilson touched first in the 200-Medley Relay (1:37.59), as did the 400-Free Relay team of Ken Tiltges, John Wilson, Showers, and Tyler Hsieh (3:11.90).

Unfortunately the Panther women had no first place finishers, either in individual or relay action.

The two squads will have a quick time to prepare for the next road dual set for this coming Saturday when they head north to take on the Flames of Illinois-Chicago at 2 pm.
